Guest speaker Lisa Breault presenting her classification talk (Property Management). Introduced by father-in- law Gord Sherwin.

This Week:
Our speaker today was Lisa Breault who gave her classification talk. Lisa wanted to bring something different to the talk and thought a unique hat would do the job. The hat being a metaphor for Rotary and the many diverse “hats” representing skills that members bring to the Club. Lisa realized that to do great things for others you need to do them together and she wanted to be part of a group that does just that.

Lisa was born and raised in Toronto where she was involved in personal projects to help people/friends.  Between projects she started her business education planning to open a day care centre.  She realized that to do this she would need additional accreditation which she did not have, so decided to switch majors and graduated with a diploma in Early Childhood Education. She worked in several capacities in this field until the birth of her son in 2003. In  2014 she returned to the business world.

In 2015 the family moved to Stratford to take over Stratford Management Corp. a business established by her stepfather and Rotarian Gordon Sherwin and run by Gordon and his son Stan.  Stan moved to Hamilton and Lisa and Rick seized on the opportunity to take over the family business allowing Gordon to move into retirement. Lisa enrolled at Mohawk College to begin coursework and training to become a licensed condominium manager. She successfully completed the coursework and received her RCM (Registered Condominium Manager) designation this September. She looks forward to further building the business.

Husband Rick has extensive knowledge in construction and is very supportive and involved with Lisa and the operation of Stratford Management.

Lisa and Rick have five children and one great grand child, Joseph and Victoria remain at home attending schools in Stratford. Joseph started at St. Mike’s this year in grade nine and Victoria is in grade seven at  the Stratford District Christian School.

Lisa is unsure how she will benefit Rotary but appreciates those members who have reached out to her to pull out her talent to help benefit the Club.

Lisa was introduced by Gordon Sherwin and thanked by John Wright.
