The basics about the event and this website:
It will be held on Lake Victoria in Stratford on September 19, 2026. We will have over 30 teams participating in recreational Hong Kong style races including:
- A 2,000 meter race final featuring the top eight teams.
- Three 500 metre races for all teams.
- We are planning 100 metre sprints for the top four women's and top four Breast Cancer Survivors teams.
- Classes include Mixed Division, Breast Cancer Survivors and Women's Division teams.
Over 3,000 are expected t0 participate by watching the races, enjoying the food, entertainment and refreshments and visiting the Kid's Tent.
This event is the largest single fundraiser each year for the Stratford Rotary Club and it's many Rotary Community projects and Activities. The 28 occurrences of this festival has raised over $1,100,000 in profit to reinvest in our community.
We keep costs as low as possible through the efforts of many volunteers that staff the event, the sponsors and partners that provide cash and free services to us to keep the expenses of mounting one of the best Dragon Boat Events in Ontario to a minimum.
